Breaking News!

The Annual Trenton Summer Festival turns 40! Join us for our Ruby Celebration June 26, 27 and 28, 2015. It is held in downtown Trenton on Jefferson between Maple and Harrison. New at this year's festival are a host of fun activities reminding visitors that "There's no Place like Hometown Trenton!" Stop by this weekend for all the festivities.

This year's festival will feature over 100 art and crafters as well as many of your favorite festival food vendors from years past. The kickoff party starts Thursday night with beer and wine tasting from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at West and West Jefferson. The event will feature a ticket system for tastes and you may choose a beer or wine tasting glass. Piano Wars will entertain during the event from 8:00-10:00p.m. and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the International Wildlife Refuge.

You can expect some great memories at this year's event including the stylings of Trenton's own hometown boys, The Caruso Brothers at 7:00pm on Friday night followed by Square Pegz. Square Pegz will rock out with totally cool eighties tunes starting at 9:00pm until 11:00p.m.
On Saturday the committee has chosen a Bon Jovi Tribute band starting at 7:00pm followed by super classic rockers, Phoenix Theory at 9:00p.m.

Don't miss the attraction of the weekend! THE BEAST IS COMING... 145' long, 41' wide and 36' tall, inflatable prehistoric dinasaur. Can you find your way out... enter his mouth and walk thru the maze of his beastly body exiting the tail.

Jackson Snider Parker, DDS have stepped up to the main stage entertainment sponsor this year and will offer a Rolling Stones tickets (a $1000 value) for those willing to go on a treasure hunt to gain their chance to win the tickets! Pick up your very own treasure map at Festival Information Booth or Trenton Business Association Booth and find the locations and get a coupon. Bring the map and coupons in Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday after festival June 29- July 1 to 254 West Road dental office and get entered into a drawing for 2 Main Floor 1st row seats at the Rolling Stones concert on July 8 at Comerica Park.
The festival beer tents will be staffed by charities, International Wildlife Refuge Alliance and St. Joseph Athletic Club.

Just in case you have a question, make sure to check for directional signs throughout the festival provided by Oakwood Healthcare Southshore Hospital.

For those looking to the Clock Tower icon for the News Herald Kids Korner, it has been relocated north to West Jefferson Avenue and Elm Street under the big top! The Playmarket and children's games will still be offered there as well as Michael's crafts will be available with arts and crafts for budding artists to explore.

The entertainment is lined up starting at noon until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday, noon until 6 p.m. Various artists will be available for all tastes on two stages, Main Stage at Maple and W. Jefferson and North Stage at Cherry and W. Jefferson. There will also be strolling entertainment, a ventriloquist and puppet master in the Kids Korner.

The Trenton Summer Festival continues to Go Green with recycling cans scattered throughout the festival thanks to our recycling sponsors: Asper & Association, Trenton Business Association, Renewal by Anderson, DTE Energy, Mills Gymnastics and Advia Credit Union.
