Join the ghost and goblins for the 15th Annual Scary Skate for all ages. It's an evening of fun games and more! Wear your costume, grab some skates and bring a bag to collect treats. You're going to have a goblin-good time.

Sweets and Treats with Mrs. Segedi is a fun class for the participants to create, prepare, and eat an assortment of goodies. This class is appropriate for ages 5 and up.

Gobble, gobble, gobble. . .Trot over to the Kennedy Recreation Center for the Turkey Skate! A variety of fun activities will be scheduled to keep you trotting. There will be open skating, turkey trot races, hockey shootout and more fun for all ages!


STUFF THE SLEIGH KICK OFF!

The Stuff the Sleigh promotion will run through the Christmas Skating Exhibition! We will be accepting non-perishable food to stuff Santa's Sleigh located in the lobby at the Kennedy Recreation Center.

The Trenton Civic Commission & Parks and Recreation have once again teamed up to kick-off the holiday season in a big way with the annual "Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony." Stroll downtown and welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Trenton! The downtown streets will be all aglow with hand-held candles illuminating the parade route. The Parade begins at 6 p.m. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, all are invited to Trenton City Hall for the Parade afterglow and parade awards.

Fee: $15.00 per person (limit 20 guests per tea)

Guests will enjoy tea, scones, soup, tea sandwiches and sweets. The teas are set in a festive, fine setting, and make for a memorable holiday tradition! Call in advance (734) 675-7300 for updated availability.

Annually, the Trenton Civic Commission recognizes outstanding Trenton citizens for their contribution to our community. Awards are bestowed at the annual City Award's Banquet. This year's event will be held at the beautifully restored, Chateau on the River, located in Elizabeth Park. A variety of award categories are available. The Trenton Civic Commission invites you to nominate residents worthy of such honors. The award categories include: Trentonite of the Year, Good Neighbor of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Outstanding Woman and Man, Outstanding Trenton Youth and Charlie Brown, which recognizes an individual that has contributed their time and energy to benefit the young athletes of our community.

Get Ready! The City of Trenton and the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League will be combining efforts for the 18th consecutive year to bring you the 19th Annual MIHL Prep Hockey Showcase. The Top 42 High School Hockey Teams in the Mid-West including teams from Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana will show what hockey is all about.

Over three days, each team will play two games and showcase their talents in front of the best professional, college and junior hockey scouts. This event is possible by tremendous community support and we are always looking to add to our volunteer base. Call (734) 676-7172 for more information.
