The Trenton Civic Commission & Parks and Recreation have once again teamed up to kick-off the holiday season in a big way with the annual "Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony." Stroll downtown and welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Trenton! The downtown streets will be all aglow with hand-held candles illuminating the parade route. The Parade begins at 6 p.m. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, all are invited to Trenton City Hall for the Parade afterglow and parade awards.

The Stuff the Sleigh promotion will run through the Christmas Skating Exhibition! We will be accepting non-perishable food to stuff Santa's Sleigh located in the lobby at the Kennedy Recreation Center.

Kids! Make sure to drop off your letters to Santa at the Cultural Center (located by the greenhouse) from November 12 until December 24. All letters mailed by December 13 will receive a response from the jolly old elf himself! Compliments of the Trenton Business Association and Trenton Parks and Recreation.



Vendors will be selling holiday crafts and gifts inside the Art Barn to make the season bright! The store will open beginning late November through the Christmas season, Tuesday - Friday. Hours will be posted here on our website closer to the Holiday Season.

Santa will be visiting the Trenton Cultural Center! Bring your camera and while you're there, make sure to play the Christmas Scavenger Hunt! All are welcome!

Whispering Pines Animal Kingdom will return again this year! Experience this live holiday petting zoo featuring animals of all shapes and sizes. Whispering Pines provides an amazing animal adventure sure to get you in the holiday spirit!

Santa and his live reindeer will be flying in from the North Pole to our very own Cultural Center! Bring the family for magical Christmas memories that will last a lifetime!

Santa and his helpers will be making their debut at 200 Maple for "Santa at the Station". Visit Trenton's historic firehouse to meet the crew, explore the firetrucks, and experience a working fire station! Great things will be cooking in the Trenton Cultural Center kitchen for our future chefs in these seasonal Sweets and Treats classes! These 90 minute classes, instructed by Mrs. Segedi, will have students chopping, baking, and tasting delicious treats! This class is appropriate for ages 5-14. Register in advance!

Get Ready! The City of Trenton and the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League will be combining efforts for the annual MIHL Prep Hockey Showcase. The Top 42 High School Hockey Teams in the Mid-West including teams from Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana will show what hockey is all about.

Over three days, each team will play two games and showcase their talents in front of the best professional, college and junior hockey scouts. This event is possible by tremendous community support and we are always looking to add to our volunteer base. Call (734) 675-7300 for more information.

The Jamboree on Ice is Downriver's longest running show and displays the talents of all ages from 3 - 99. This year's Jamboree on Ice will pick up right where we left off last year. We will celebrate the skills of our growing students!
