The Trenton Fire Department has 33 personnel to cover a 24 hour response to it's citizens. The department's primary mission is to prevent loss of life, care for the sick and injured, prevent fires, and to protect the property of this community.
The Trenton Fire Department has 30 personnel in the Suppression/EMS Division. It is a combination department, offering Advanced Life Support to its citizens. The Trenton Fire Department's paramedics will transport the injured or sick to the hospital.
The department's apparatus has two stations, which includes:
Station 1: One engine, one 75-foot aerial ladder and one ambulance.
Station 2: One engine, one ambulance and a utility vehicle.
Trenton Fire Department is a member of the Downriver Mutual Aid Group and assists neighboring communities in their time of need, if necessary.
Members of the department are involved with specialty areas such as hazardous materials and fire investigation. The department is involved with a special partnership program with Henry Ford Community College and Trenton High School. Public Safety Pathways is a program targeting the university bound student with an interest in firefighting, EMS or law enforcement.
The Trenton Fire Department offers free smoke detectors to residents on fixed income, seniors or the handicapped. Call for information.
The Trenton Firefighters Charities Organization raises and donates monies throughout the year to over 100 organizations.
