Public Skating
Have fun skating with your family & friends during our public open skating sessions. Improve your skills, get some great exercise or just enjoy a fun outing. Don't have your own skates? We offer both hockey and figure skate rental in many sizes. Public skating sessions average 2 hours on any week night or on weekends.

Public Skate Rules
- Guests must pay at either Skate Rental or Arena Office before entering ice surface.
- Skates may be rented at Skate Rental desk. Remember to carry skates at the top of the boot. Carrying skates by the blade can cause injury.
- No food or drinks are permitted on the ice surface or bench area.
- Alcoholic beverages, chewing tobacco, illegal substances or anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the premises.
- No one is permitted to enter the ice surface without skates.
- No sticks or pucks are permitted on the ice during public skate.
- There is to be no chain skating, tag, pushing, racing, reckless skating, or behavior that may jeopardize the safety of one's self or others.
- Backwards skating, spins, jumps and stunts of any kind are not permitted during open skate.
- Talking, texting, or playing on cell phones or any other electronic device is prohibited when on the ice surface.
- Personal belongings should not be left unattended. The Kennedy Recreation Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
- Do not chip, gouge, or kick holes in the ice surface
- Skaters must skate with the "flow of the traffic" at all times.
- Do not carry any children or infants onto the ice surface.
- Children under the age of 12 must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.
- Please report any unsafe conditions or behavior to a staff member immediately.
- In the event of an injury, notify a staff member immediately.
- Any participants that fail to follow these rules may be removed from the ice surface.
