THA has a long-standing tradition for developing fundamentally sound hockey players. THA is a volunteer-based association. Coaches and board members are always needed. Youth, between the ages of 4-18 (as of December 31, 2015), are eligible. Visit www.trentonhockey.org for registration information for the 2015-2016 season.
The Timbit and Beginner Programs were first developed by Frank Murphy during the 1980's and have evolved over the years. THA I-Programs have been updated to reflect current USA Hockey principles. We encourage parental participation within these programs. Both programs serve very well in developing THA's future coaches for the Mini-Mite and Mite Programs. The Tim-Bits Program (sponsored by Tim Horton's) meets once per week (generally Saturdays at 9:20 a.m.) and is for ages 4 and up. This program is intended for fi rst-timers and for those who cannot yet skate on their own. All players will receive their own jersey. A registration fee is required. There is no monthly ice-fee for this program, although there are occasional minor costs for parties and/or other events. The Beginner's program meets twice per week (generally Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings) and is for 4-14 year olds. This is a more advanced program and is intended for those who can already skate on their own and for older players. All players will receive their own jersey. A registration fee is required. There is no monthly ice-fee for this program, although there are occasional minor costs for parties and/or other events. Basic skating skills as well as the fundamentals of hockey are taught. Full hockey gear is required for both programs, including a helmet, shoulder, elbow and knee pads, hockey pants, hockey gloves, a neck guard, mouth guard and hockey skates along with a hockey stick. Both I-Programs start after Labor Day and continue through the first week of March. For more info visit TrentonHockey.org.

Kennedy Rec Center Adult Hockey Beginning in Fall 2007, the City of Trenton has been proud to partner with Michigan Sports Enterprises (MSE) in hosting what is now the largest adult hockey league in the Downriver area at Kennedy Recreation Center.
Launched in 1997 by adult hockey players, MSE organizes adult leagues, schools and tournaments in several parnering arenas in Metro Detroit. MSE ranks as the largest single independent adult hockey program in Michigan and one of the largest in the entire United States with nearly 400 teams and 3,000 inidividuals participating in the 2012-13 Fall/Winter, Spring and Summerseasons. MSE always has room for additional teams and players. For information on how you can become a part of MSE, visit their website at www.msehockey.com.
Michigan Sports Enterprises: "We operate a clean, well-managed rink with excellent ice conditions, and MSE has an unmatched 10-year track record of running the biggest and best-organized adult hockey leagues in Michigan. It's a perfect partnership, and one that we're sure will bring a lot of fun and excitement to Trenton and neighboring communities."
MSE was founded in 1997 by veteran adult hockey player Al Zawacky, who was unhappy at the time with the way his league was being run by the local ice rink. Today, he and MSE Vice President/General Manager Steve Ricucci run what they call "The Adult Hockey League Run by Adult Hockey Players." "We pride ourselves on being the program run by recreational hockey players not by a rink manager or a Zamboni driver," Zawacky said. "If there are games being played or a clinic in session, someone from MSE is there before and after to answer any questions or address any concerns."
"A lot of adult hockey programs I've played in didn't show the players the respect and attention they deserve as customers. We do, 100 percent of the time. And that's what makes MSE different. What this means for teams are all the special features and benefits that MSE has pioneered over it's successful 10-year history", Ricucci said. "Some of these are our 24-hour game-time hotline, flexible scheduling, on-site supervision, easy and affordable payment options, referees who are continuously evaluated and screened, the best possible ice times available, and our up-to-the minute website featuring game results and standings updated in virutal real-time." he said. "We take a lot of pride in being the best-run, most-organized and service-oriented adult hocky program around."
