Dog Days of Summer Swim

The Kennedy Pool has officially “Gone to the Dogs,” for one day that is! On Saturday, September 11, 2010, the KennedyAquaticCenter will open its doors again to man’s best friend. Bring your favorite four-legged pal for a dip in the pool from noon-3 p.m. There will be pet contests, treats and more! Pet friendly vendors will be on hand beginning at 11 a.m. to share their canine wares. So come early! Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated and owners must be prepared for clean-up duty.  Click here for info.

Celebrate the community that is involved in hockey and meet the newest members of the Motor City Metal Jackets!
Metal Jackets players will run a skills/fun session for each level of hockey for the Trenton Hockey Association and Grosse Ile Hockey Association. Special events, refreshments, and more! For more information click here.

Attention Dog and Cat Owners
 

CITY OF TRENTON

ATTENTION DOG AND CAT OWNERS

The 2009-2010 Dog and Cat Licenses will expire on June 30, 2010. The 2010-11 Dog and Cat Licenses will be on sale starting June 1st at the Trenton City Hall in the Clerk’s Office. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any person who owns, possesses or harbors a dog or cat in the City of Trenton must license this dog or cat under provisions of Sec. 6-22 and 6-50 of the city. License fees are $10.00 . If you have any questions, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at 675-8600. An updated rabies vaccination is required to obtain a license.

CITY OF TRENTON

NOTICE

NOXIOUS WEEDS

To Any Owner of Lands Situated Within the City of Trenton, County of Wayne, and State of Michigan.

Notice is hereby given that all noxious weeds growing and all dead grass and brush on any land within the City of Trenton, County of Wayne, and State of Michigan, must be cut down, destroyed and removed on or :

before the 1st day of June,

before the 15th day of July,

before the 1st day of September,

to prevent such weeds from going to seed or to blossom, as the case may be, and to prevent such dead grass and brush from becoming a fire hazard.

Failure to comply with this notice on or before the above-mentioned date shall make any party so failing liable for the costs of cutting, destroying and removing said noxious weeds and dead grass and brush by said City, said cost to be levied and collected against said lands in the same manner as prescribed by the City Charter and City Code.
